I bought a voucher – how do I use it?

You need to call your chosen studio and arrange a convenient date and time to have your photography session.  You must call at least six weeks before the expiry date of the voucher or you may not be able to make a booking before the voucher expires.

Can I purchase additional vouchers?

Only one voucher may be used per family or per person within a year but additional vouchers may be purchased as gifts.

How do I know if my website voucher order has been received?

You will receive a confirmation email at the address you have given.  If you do not receive this within 48 hours, please contact us.

How do I book an appointment?

Choose the most convenient studio location and call them direct to make your booking.  You will be asked to pay a refundable booking deposit of £20.00 to confirm your date and time but this will be returned to you at your viewing appointment, provided you have kept both your studio and viewing appointments.

What are the terms and conditions of the offer?

Why do I have to pay a refundable booking deposit?

The refundable booking deposit is a goodwill gesture between both parties that both the studio and viewing appointments will be kept, as studios have waiting lists for prime time appointments.

Are parents included in the portrait session fee?  Can grandparents join us?

Family Portraits can include parents and grandparents  to make delightful ‘generations’ family portraits.

What does the voucher entitle me to?

A pre-session discussion to find out your expectations, requirements and goals, a complete photography session in the studio, a viewing session and your choice of a beautifully retouched print of the size specified on your voucher.

How many photos do you take and how long is a session?

The number of photographs taken can vary considerably, there is no set number.  A family session can take from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the number of  people involved.  A makeover session takes approximately 2-3 hours.

What should I wear?

Individual studios will give you advice, but the main points are to keep clothes as simple as possible.  Smart casual wear suits fun, relaxed images;  formal outfits are better suited to more stylized photographs.  Make sure that everyone is similarly dressed, and stick to a colour theme. Simple styles remain timeless and denim never goes out of fashion – but avoid busy patterns.

Will there be anywhere for us to change clothes?

Yes, and if you are unsure what to wear it is a good idea to bring a couple of outfits.  For makeovers, two or three different changes of clothes are encouraged to give you a good choice of images.

Can you make me look my best?

Of course!  Our photographers are all experts at beautiful and flattering lighting and posing.   One of the skills of a professional photographer is to make you feel relaxed and comfortable so that you can enjoy being photographed.  This results in naturally beautiful expressions.

How soon after the session will I be able to see my photos?

Some studios offer viewing straight after your photography session.  Other studios arrange an appointment for you to return to view the results at a later date (usually about a week).

How long does the viewing last?

We allow up to an hour, it depends how quick you are at making decisions!

Can I bring my children along to the viewing?

We recommend you leave them at home if at all possible so you can enjoy a peaceful hour to choose without distraction, but they are welcome to come if this is not possible.

Can I pay by credit/debit card?

Yes, all our studios accept card payments.
